HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER
Keywords
16:34
Give
thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
1.
He is the LORD our God (12-36)
Ascribe, worship, and
tremble! (28-30). We are to ascribe to the LORD the glory
due his name. He
called the Israelites as his chosen people, established an
everlasting covenant
with them, and protected them. We are to worship him in his
splendor and holiness
because he is great and most worthy of praise. We tremble
before him because he
upholds the earth by the power of his word and splendor
and majesty are before
him. Even more, we are to rejoice and give thanks to Him
for he comes to judge
the earth and he has saved his people. Praise the LORD!
His love endures
forever!
2.
His love inspires obedience (37-43)
Asaph and his
associates were left to minister before the ark of the LORD while
Zadok and his fellow
priests were assigned to the tabernacle at Gibeon to perform
the duties written in
the Law of the LORD. Heman and Jeduthun were designated
as worship leaders.
What inspired all of this? Obedience flows from a recognition
of God’s everlasting love
for his people. The Israelites went back to their homes in
peace.
Prayer
Father,
thank you for your everlasting love.
One
Word Give
glory to God!
