2 Timothy 3:1-17

CONTINUE LEARNING THE SCRIPTURES

Keywords 3:14

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,

1. Terrible times and wicked people (1-9)

The last days will be terrible times without real love because people only love

themselves, money, pleasure, and wicked things. Such people take advantage of

and hurt others and promote an environment hostile to godly people.

2. Scriptures make us wise for salvation (10-17)

Pauls teaching and way of life was a stark contrast to the worlds, and this

brought persecution. Yet the Lord delivered him from all of them. Everyone who

seeks to live a godly life will be persecuted, while evil people will get worse and

worse, deceiving and being deceived. To seek a godly life in Christ Jesus, Timothy

must continue learning the Holy Scriptures he knew from infancy and later

became convinced of. The Bible is God-breathed and reliable. The Bible is able to

make one wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The Bible is useful for

teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, thoroughly equipping

the servant of God for every good work throughout his lifetime.

Prayer Lord, I want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus. Help me to continue

studying the Bible.

One Word Study the Bible diligently
