FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON JESUS
Hebrews
3:1-6 / Keywords 3:1
Therefore,
holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus,
the apostle and high priest whom we confess.
1.
Thanks to Jesus, we are holy, and we share the same heavenly calling. Thus, we
acknowledge his beautiful salvation work. He is our apostle and our high
priest. Since his faithfulness and his priestly service to God is perfect, we
are called to fix our thoughts on Jesus who can purify our minds. his beauty is
unsurpassed in history or by anything in this world.
2.
According to Jewish history, Moses was the most faithful in all God's house.
However, God is the builder of that house. Since Christ is the Son of God, he
is greater than Moses as the Son over God’s
house. Moses was faithful to bear witness to God and to point the people toward
the one who would provide salvation for them. He faithfully testified to what
God would do in the future. Jesus came to build us into God’s
house. We fix our thoughts on him so that we may be confident in the hope we
have and the glory he reveals.
Prayer Lord, the world is full of
temptations. Help me to fix my thoughts on Jesus and see his beauty. Bless me
as a faithful servant in God’s house.
